New S-Works Fast Trak T57T7.
Visually, the new Specialized Fast Trak differs from the previous version. Each knob on the tire has been completely redesigned with a new shape, size, and spacing. To start with, the new pattern uses much higher knobs. The difference is most drastic at the center of the tire, with Specialized opting for a much taller knob with no overlaps, compared to the older version's smaller, denser spaced designs. The overall design is more aggressive, and the mud no longer clings to the tire. It seems like Specialized has figured out how to add more traction to a fast tire without slowing it down.
There's something new added to the S-Works Fast Trak compound, it's the dual compound T5 / T7. This means Specialized uses a harder T5 compound for the center section, paired with a grippier T7 compound for the side knobs. In theory, this should allow for a fast-rolling tire while still providing grip in corners. This is ideal for XC racers and is offered only in the lightest-weight S-Works sidewall casing.
