New Crux 5 !
Today, May 28, 2026, Specialized unveiled the new Crux—now renamed the Crux 5. This new gravel bike is one of the most logical bikes Specialized has ever released.
Why do I dare to use such big words? Because it’s not just lightweight (S-Works frame 789g, size 56), (light weight was the main promise of the previous-generation Crux), but the Crux 5 is also aerodynamic and accommodates tires up to 2.2” (officially, though in reality likely even wider). Specialized makes no secret of the fact that the Tarmac—its road flagship—served as the inspiration, and the Tarmac’s speed characteristics are now combined with a gravel racing setup.
Thus, it is lightweight and extremely versatile. Extremely. Perhaps the most versatile and (coming back to the beginning) most logical bike Specialized has ever created. I predict this bike will be a hit. There is huge demand for the Crux 5, and availability may be more limited than usual, but we’re doing everything we can to get the Crux 5 to Estonian riders as quickly as possible.
