Handed over: Pashley Pathfinder E
We ended last week on a sporty note, now let's take it easy... I had the pleasure and honor of delivering (the customer was modest and did not want to be photographed) a British masterpiece - the Pashley Pathfinder E. Yes, it is an electric bike.
Pashley is a British bicycle company that will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026. And not only that – it still operates in the same place where it started – in William Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon. We know this because we have been there. Of course, the motors are not made on site; they are purchased. But the frames, handlebars, mudguards – everything is handmade and manufactured and painted from start to finish from raw tubes on site. I didn't believe it until I saw it with my own eyes. Pashley is one of the three oldest bicycle companies in the UK, but today it is the only one that still manufactures bicycles in the UK. A rarity in the modern world.
