Meet: Miko Põder
Meet Miko Põder. Miko is the top hard-enduro motorcycle rider in Estonia. But beyond that, he is an athlete with tremendous drive and dedication.
We’re quite familiar with this sport and have experienced firsthand just how brutally tough—yet enjoyable—it can be. Every single move must be carefully considered, combining decisions with skill, strength, and endurance, plus a healthy dose of calculated courage. For us, it’s a great change of pace from cycling, but for Miko, it’s his main discipline, where he plans to go far.
That’s exactly why we’re pleased to announce that we’ve started collaborating with Miko and will do our best to support him in any way we can. A bicycle is an essential training tool, and from now on, Miko will be training on Specialized bikes.
NB! Today is an important day, because today Miko is starting his first-ever Red Bull Erzbergrodeo prologue. This competition is one of the two most important events organized in this field worldwide. In Austria, near the town of Eisenerz, at the Erzberg quarry, 1,500 of the world’s best hard-enduro riders are gathered. The prologue is timed, and the 500 fastest riders advance to the main competition. The main competition itself takes place on Sunday, with 23 checkpoints to complete within 4 hours. Few of the 500 starters manage to complete all the checkpoints. Last year, for example, only 14 athletes did...
Miko is bringing along his S-Works Epic EVO, which he’ll need to familiarize himself with the prologue course and get around the area. Going forward, the Diverge 4 will likely become Miko’s daily training partner.
PS – From June 12–14, Estonia’s toughest hard-enduro race, “I DO HARDENDURO,” will take place in Aidu, Ida-Viru County. The main race is on June 14, Sunday. Of course, we recommend going to watch it. Miko will also be at the starting line.
We wish Miko the best of luck!
