A quiet summer? Wrong!
On the surface, it seems like a quiet (and probably warm!) summer, but at least from the perspective of the cycling world, this is deceptive. Over the last couple of months, the launch of new products has been the rule rather than the exception. And from an innovation standpoint, these have been relatively significant products. Let's take a closer look at them.
Let's start with road bikes. What's new:
New road bikes that have recently become available:
· TARMAC SL8 PRO AXS (8 999€)
o new Sram Force and new Rapide CL III wheels
· ROUBAIX PRO (7999€)
o new Sram Force and new Rapide CL III wheels
· CRUX PRO (7999€)
o new Sram Force XPLR 13 speed, cassette 10-46
· CRUX EXPERT AXS (5999€)
o new Sram Rival XPLR 13 speed, cassette 10-46
· TARMAC SL8 COMP AXS (4199€ - NB! Very good price, frameset only 4000€!)
o new Sram Rival
The S-Works series includes the ultra-limited Red Bull Bora team bike (new Rapide CLX III wheels + new Sram RED), but availability of this bike is rather limited. It is essentially the same bike that is currently being used in the Tour de France.

With the arrival of the new bikes, it is also important to note that the older models (i.e., the 2025 models) have been significantly reduced in price. Here are nine examples:
- S-Works Tarmac SL8 Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 and SRAM RED AXS €11,499 (previous price €14,500);
- Tarmac SL8 Pro SRAM Force eTap AXS €8,000 (previous price €9,000);
- Tarmac SL8 Expert €5,500 (previous price €6,500);
- Tarmac SL7 Sport €2,999 (previous price €3,400);
- S-Works Roubaix SL8 Dura-Ace Di2 and SRAM RED AXS €10,499 (previous price €14,000);
- Roubaix SL8 Pro €8,000 (previous price €9,000)
- Roubaix SL8 Expert €5,500 (previous price €6,500)
- S-Works Aethos SRAM RED AXS €10,499 (previously €13,500)
- Aethos Pro €6,499 (previously €8,000)
Therefore, the more affordable price of the S-Works Tarmac SL8 is particularly noteworthy. Essentially, this is one of the world's absolute top-of-the-line bikes.

But there's more.
The groupsets have also been updated. We previously highlighted the new wheels with new groupsets, but what does this mean for you as a rider?
First, SRAM:
For road bikes (new, smaller, and more comfortable lever shape):
- Sram Force AXS 12s
- Sram Rival AXS 12s
Crankset (new link shape + now also larger cassette):
- Sram Force AXS 13s (10-46)
- Sram Rival AXS 13s (10-46)
How would you describe the new links?
Kristjan Randma, manager of our Tartu store, describes them as follows: More convenient, fits better with modern handlebars. The new link is longer, but lower at the front. Greater braking force on the link, holding it from above and pressing the brakes, more space for your fingers, and holding it from below brings the link lever closer, which also makes braking easier. Most cyclists prefer the new link, but there are exceptions, such as Jonathan Milan, currently wearing the green jersey in the Tour de France, who rides with the old link.

And Shimano: which is particularly noteworthy. After all, Shimano's electronic mountain bike system was simply missing from the market for years and years!
For gravel bikes: (finally, a Shimano electric system for gravel bikes, with the battery attached to the shifter/wireless):
- Shimano GRX Di2 12s 1x12 (10-51)
For mountain bikes:
- Shimano XTR Di2 12s (9-45 and 10-51) and 11s (11-50)
- Shimano XT Di2 12s (9-45 and 10-51) and 11s (11-50)
- Shimano Deore Di2 12s (9-45 and 10-51) and 11s (11-50)
Please note that bikes with the new Shimano electronic groupset are already available today. These include:
S-Works Stumpjumper 15 DI2
- new XTR Di2 (€12,499)
S-Works EPIC 8 EVO DI2
- new XTR Di2 (€12,499)
LEVO SL EXPERT CARBON DI2
- new XT Di2 (€8,599)
EPIC 8 EXPERT DI2
- new XT Di2 (€7,299)
SJ 15 EXPERT DI2
- new XT Di2 (€6,999)

In addition to complete bikes and groupsets, it is also important to pay attention to wheels.
Specialized recently updated its range of wheels for both off-road and road cycling. This is NOT just a facelift, but the new wheels are new both "inside and out." The emphasis is on aerodynamics and weight.
While the off-road wheels have already won who-knows-how-many World Cup stages, the road wheels have had their first taste of action in the current Tour de France:
- Rapide CLX Sprint – emphasis on smoother race tracks (1395g);
- Rapide CLX III – top-class "all-round" carbon-spoked wheels (1305g);
- Rapide CL III – essentially an affordable version of the previous top-of-the-range wheels. The hubs are the same, but the spokes/rims are different (1555g);
And last but not least. Now available:
- the aforementioned brand new cross-country wheels;
- new saddles (including the S-Works Power EVO – reportedly the most comfortable of the top-of-the-line saddles);
- new clothing! Yes, for a long time we did not have top-of-the-line clothing in our selection – the same clothing that the pros are currently wearing in the Tour de France. Branded for the first time as S-Works clothing;
- Remco ultra-light road shoes;
- tires (road, off-road, and gravel) – but we've already talked about those before.
So, all in all, there are many changes in this seemingly quiet summer. Even though it has long been felt that there is still room for improvement... there is. Innovation never ends. We are happy to work with a brand that invests in development and testing on a daily basis.
We wish you comfortable and fast rides, dear friends!
NB! – The VAT increase has not affected our prices.
